    The tests for these Sessions have been designed to help students who are preparing to write the GL, SET, CEM Assessments covering English, Mathematics, Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning tests.

    Format

    Two test papers will be included in 1 test session:
    • Test Paper 1 is an English test comprising: (a) comprehension; (b) cloze (multiple choice, GL-style); (c) technical English (proofreading); and (d) verbal reasoning questions (typically from the ’21 Types’ of verbal reasoning question) or Verbal reasoning including vocabulary.
    • Test Paper 2 comprises: A maths section along with either a non-verbal reasoning (including spatial reasoning) section or mental arithmetic/word problems.
    • Each test contains 50 minutes of questions.
    • The tests are multiple choice with a question paper and separate multiple-choice answer sheet unless you are sitting the CSSE or Latymer exam which have a written component. (Mock Exams with a written English component are subject to an additional £10 supplement per exam)

    Schedule

    The examination paper and the video conference links will be shared once the examination sessions have been confirmed. Invigilated examinations will be run between Saturday 23rd of August 2025 - Monday 25th of August 2025. Sessions will take place online at the following dates:
    • 11+ Mock Examinations - Sutton Baptist Church (23/08/2025, 8-10.30AM)
    • 11+ Mock Examinations - Palmers Green Library (24/08/2025, 8-10.30AM)
    • 11+ Mock Examinations - Online (25/08/2025, 8-10.30AM)

    Day of the exams

    • The tests are multiple choice with a question paper and separate multiple-choice answer sheet unless you are sitting the CSSE or Latymer exam which have a written component.
    • Prior to each timed Section within the test paper, the Instructions for the questions in that Section and an Example of each type of question are presented (and read out audibly by the audio administration) and there is then a short period to attempt several Practice questions (the answers to which are subsequently read out by the audio administration).

    Post Exam Arrangement

    Marks and feedback will be sent back within 72 hours of sitting the examinations. An accurate assessment of the level currently performing includes a breakdown of your child’s score in each element of the paper, a total score for each test and a combined score for the examinations. Next to your child’s score, we also provide the group average score to help you identify your child’s strengths and weaknesses, relative to the other candidates. Topics that need to be revisited along with the exam technique will be provided.
